Traditional dental implants are a popular and reliable tooth replacement solution for patients without teeth. However, men and women who have relied on dentures for many years may no longer have sufficient jawbone density to support traditional implants. In these cases, one option is to undergo a lengthy and complicated bone graft procedure prior to dental implantation. However, at Tarpon Shores Dental, we offer a better solution: Teeth-in-a-Day dental implants! This innovative implant procedure can restore an entire smile with minimal hassle.
The Teeth-In-A-Day procedure utilizes just 4 to 6 strategically-placed implant posts to support a dental prosthetic. The placement procedure for Teeth-In-A-Day is actually quite similar to that of traditional dental implants.
First, an oral surgeon will surgically insert the implants in the jawbone below the gumline. The posts are usually placed toward the front of the mouth where the jawbone is naturally denser, allowing just a few implants to anchor an entire row of replacement teeth. Teeth-In-A-Day implants are sometimes longer than typical dental implants, which enables them to reach the strong, healthy portion of the jawbone.
After the placement is complete, the patient is given a few months to allow the healing process to take place, during which the implant posts will fuse with the surrounding bone through a natural process called osseointegration. The patient is provided with a lightweight temporary denture to wear during this stage.
Once the implants have successfully healed in place, the patient will return to their dentist and have their full new smile securely attached!
If you are tired of dealing with the hassle of traditional dentures and desire more secure, reliable replacement teeth, you may be a good candidate for Teeth-In-A-Day implants. This alternative implant procedure is ideal for:

With the Teeth-In-A-Day method of addressing tooth loss, patients can achieve the same outstanding results as traditional dental implants with less than half the number of implants needed.
Indeed, traditional dental implants and implant-supported dentures often require as many as ten implants to secure an upper or lower arch, whereas the Teeth-In-A-Day procedure only utilizes 4 to 6 implants.
In addition, many patients with dentures who opt for dental implants lack adequate jawbone density and most first undergo a lengthy bone grafting procedure. With Teeth-In-A-Day implants, patients can achieve a full smile without needing a bone graft and can also avoid lengthy treatment and recovery times.
